By all means get lads in on training panels and see how they go but Colm was a minor last year, I think he’s brilliant but will need another year to catch up physically in my opinion.

True… it’s just a real bug bear of mine.. I think if a lad is a good enough serious prospect after minor get him into the seniors as early as possible.. blood him young..
Over the last 20 years we’ve created this whole notion that a player needs to be 22-23 before getting a look in..

Lads here would want to go handy now. The players went out and gave everything.
It's obvious some people were waiting for them to lose so they could have a go off Cusack and Furlong.
Very unfair.
Also people saying full back line cleaned out, I thought Heavin corner back was outstanding.

They are a tiny minority but they post with the frequency of megabots on whisky.

This U20 crop definitely showed massive heart and resilience throughout a tough campaign, hopefully we'll see some more break through at senior.
Think Garde is an excellent prospect.

I agree with you, I don’t care what age they are if they are up to the physicality levels but I don’t wanna see lads that have just come out of minor being wiped out at senior IC level.

I’m sure management will make a sensible call on if he’s ready or not, no harm to get him in training anyway to get feel for it

To be fair, nobody is criticising the player himself. He did his best and was over matched in an unfamiliar position. He wasn't the only one beaten over the two games back there.

I've been pretty positive towards this management team over the last 2 years tbf when other lads were tearing them apart before a game was played, but they made zero adjustments over the two games. I think they deserve to be questioned on that. I think they'd agree themselves it was a mistake when they review it.

we had a big lad who started center back the first day and on his return from suspension he lines out at 11 tonight. Could he not have done a job?

No. He's not that tall and has never played in the full-back line ever.
