Not quite sure your maths add up there. Rebel Óg competitions start at U12 so a player who started with Rebel Óg in 2010 wouldn’t even be 30 yet.

Rebel Og squads start at 14 hallbopping and if I’m not mistaken the first squad was Darragh Fitz & Mark Coleman’s group

AFAIK we haven't yet seen a Cork underage team that's fully gone through the new player Development Cycle. It's a pretty recent programme.
Possibly next year's minors will be the first cohort to have done so.

I think I heard that at a coaching conference earlier this year.

The squads are in place since 2010, they have been adapted a few times over that period. Overall I am concerned that they are not as well run now as they were a decade ago.

Can somebody clarify who runs the u14, u15 & u16 squads? Up to 2 or 3 years ago it was common knowledge but it seems to have become a little more secretive recently

The development squads started in 2010 as per Cork GAA Strategic and Action Plan.
A 16 year old that started then is now 31..

The Cork underage squads were going long before that though, at least 15-20 years. They started at U16 post feile. My family played in them in the 90s.

So not yet 30. Rebel Óg is trying to serve two masters. Clubs and the county team. It’s doing one very well at the moment, the other not so much.

I have a son who played for the Cork U16s, minor and 21s. He is now in his 40s.
The first Rebel Og u14 development squad was in 2010. I had a nephew on it.

Someone who was 14 in 2010 was born in 1996. I was 21 in 2010 and am now 35.

That’s accepted universally.
Rebel Og managing the club scene needs a little fine tuning.
