Just like the minors there is good U-20 talent out there but what team/squad will the management select is key and will they be obsessed with workrate and forgetting how important it is to have a forward such as Stephen Lynam not too far from the opposing goal with the other 2 inside forwards. My guess is they will go with a team/panel along the following lines:

Daniel O'Connell
Denis Cashman James O'Brien David O'Leary Ben Walsh Timmy Wilk Peter O'Shea Daniel Murnane Adam O'Sullivan Ml. O'Driscoll Eoin Guinane Barry Walsh Sn. O'Donoghue Ross O'Sullivan Barry O'Flynn

Subs: Ben Heffernan, Brian Nolan, Cian Dunphy, Cian O'Connor, Oisin Fitzgerald, Kieran Cotter, Conor Hazelwood, Thomas Dunlea, Tadhg O'Leary-Hayes, James O'Callaghan-Maher, Eoin O'Flynn, Pete Kelly, Matthew Woods, Sean Bresnan, Johnny Galvin, Johnny Murphy, Christopher Dunne, Conor McCarthy, Diarmuid Wall, Ethan Buckley, Cian Buckley, John W. Barrett, James Murray, Ronan Dooley, Mark O'Brien, Fionnan Barry, Charlie Lucas, Stephen Lynam, Peter Barrett, Calvin O'Donovan.

Personally I would start Dunphy, Fitzgerald, O'Leary-Hayes and Lynam.

My prediction to a string starting team would be as follows:
Daniel o Connell
Denis cashman
James o brien
David o leary
Dan Murnane
Timmy wilk
Eoin guinane
Peter o shea
Ben Walsh
Adam o Sullivan
Jayden Casey
Barry Walsh
Ross o sullivan
Barry o flynn
Stevan lynam

There is plenty talent on this age and certainly a lot of experience which will stand to them. They are a solid side but I feel really lacking a nailed on certain centre forward that can win ball and cause wreck in both creating a scoring.

Your team is a very likely one but Mick O'Driscoll will surely start, I heard he's currently injured and will be a huge loss for WGH in the AI final if he is ruled out.

I had James Murray in the panel over Jayden Casey, both Youghal players but they'll be both involved. I'm thinking of Jayden as a possible starter next year rather than this year.

You have a good point regarding centre-forward, I would play Adam O'Sullivan at 11, with his speed not many centre-backs will like to see him running at their defence. However I believe the selectors are going with Adam mid-field. Murray, Casey, Eoin Guinane and Mark O'Brien are also options.

Broke his kneecap in the Munster Club final and needed screws inserted into it.
Won't be back for Cork unless they make the All Ireland final.
I didn't realise his injury was that serious because I heard he trained or played with Cork U-20's after the Munster Final and aggravated the injury to keep him out today. He will be a big loss for the U-20's like he was for the Cork minors in 2022 also due to injury.

Congrats on 'The Hill's' AI win, well deserved!🇵🇪👍
