Cork South Central 2016

Micky will stroll in, lads.

Not so sure , he has had an appalling few years in the Dail and FF are pretty divided and rudderless party under him. Lot of new candidates and independents floating about and younger demographic taking an active interest and role in politics. Like I said make or break for him but no way a stroll in.

Never thought ff would get two in 11. Can't see them not getting two now.

In 2011, they took the final seat of five. That 5th seat no longer there and the party poll ratings have barely moved.
M Martin will be fine, having profile of leader and whole Eastern side of constituency (Blackrock, Mahon, Ballinlough) to himself.

McGrath under serious pressure. Has sitting, high profile minister in his own backyard down in Carrigaline and unlikely that Martin will get such a massive vote that there will be huge transfers coming his way.

Against that, the brother's vote in local elections will encourage him and he has done well on finance brief. However, he'll be in a three way dog fight for last two seats.

I don't buy the line that McGrath is capable.... Where's the evidence of that? In the dying days of the last f f dynasty he was one of the (financial) holochost deniers. He's just promising to splash the cash like mad. Not that in fairness, the bauld boys n girls of FG have entered that realm also.
Spoz they have to be better than AAA loonies
