Just watched the 1st half on Sky Plus, Crokes were better and deserved the win but Rory Hickey was definitely a homebird of a ref and Cooper got his usual extra protection. I will say some of the Castlehaven's jostling of him was nothing more than very childish when the game was up

Just watched the recording of Haven's game there now....Jesus Crokes were shocking for talked up AI champions. Very disappointed with Haven if they are the best side in Cork...we are in trouble to be honest. Apart from B Hurley you could not pick an IC player out of them. Stupid frees given away and no one willing to have a pot and we all know that fucking around with the ball backwards and forward is the easiest game to defend against. I honestly don't envy Cubby and his mentors their task!

Hossesass: I thought the Haven put up a good fight and got SFA from Mr Hickey......as usual. Fellows here who like to knock them should take on board that Crokes got a flukey goal when they were only 3 points up and their keeper made a top class save near the end. Yes they deserved to win, but only just.
This is the same Crokes team that scored 9 points in
Thurles last year v Ballymun and away from their patch later they won't do any better IMHO.
They had three men on Hurley when ever danger threatened and if the Haven had another half decent scorer they could well have won.

Twohands: Crokes always looked like they had a bit extra up front to be able to pull away but haven stuck with it and the lucky goal killed it. I agree with Hoss that haven don't deserve some of the stuff that is written about them here, but some lads here seem to think there's no one in Cork who can play a bit of ball anyway.

What do you mean IF Haven are the best side in Cork? they obviously are as they have won the last 2 countys. As for today you watched the game on TV and that only tells half the story if your looking for inter county players Cahalane was awesome again today. You are saying Crokes were shocking but the fact is they won every club game in Kerry by 15 points or more, so were does that leave Kerry football.Also St Brigits won the AI club and where are Rosscommon as an inter county team , by your logic they should be great.Haven have 3 inter county players,surely the county is big enough to find some more.And by the way all the Havens main men are young and whats coming up in their underage is some serious,serious talent.I would be reckoning they will get better and better over the next 10 years.
