Cork Roads Lagging Way Behind :(

The city and county roads are in a dangerous condition. Worst I have ever seen. The councils are a disgrace when it comes to maintaining the roads in Cork.

Every single one or can you be more specific, because there are quite a lot of roads there in your sweeping statement

Nice of you to leave out the toll for the Limerick Tunnel ;)
You can exit prior to the tunnel and pay no toll. You can drive from Naas to Portlaoise on a motorway with no toll. Or from Fermoy to just south of Abbeyleix - no toll. You can travel on the M50 fom Bray to the exit for Galway - no toll.
What is planned for Cork-Limerick is that every kilometre is tolled - that is what is new. And I expect it will be universally adopted if petrol and diesel sales and related taxes decrease. How it will be implemented is interesting - a chip in your car where your weekly travel is recorded and tolled (taxed)?

They will probably just use a toll tag similar to now that records when pass the free flow barrier like Fermoy or the overhead cameras like on the M50. You are aware that you don't have to use tolled roads, there is alternatives to paying tolls.

Just back from a trip through Spain.
Zaragoza to Bilboa, AP8, toll road. 300km. 32.5e. Fabulous road. You pay for what you get!
