Cork opera house stage times

Hoping to go Thursday night. Show is at 8pm. I prob won't make it til 8:30 at the earliest. Haven't been to the opera house for a while but from what I remember these shows start fairly bang on the time mentioned. Can any of you good people confirm if this is the case.

I'm going to that show on Thursday myself. Any comedy gig that I've been to in the Opera House recently has started pretty much bang on the stated time, maybe a few minutes later but never 30 minutes after the stage time.

That's the end of that so. Thanks for the info. Enjoy the show.

It's by no means sold out - if your concern is being picked on by Matt Holness for arriving in late (doubtful) then you could always get a seat in the balcony section which looks to be virtually empty.

yeah, ive been to the opera house alot recently.. the shows start bang on time. the way it should be.

Agreed. The arrogance of some acts/venues to make you wait (beyond a reasonable amount of time) is grating.

I don't like the "our time is more important that yours" shtick.

I wouldn't have minded missing 5 -10 mins and taking a seat near the back but missing about half an hour is a bit much. I'll bury my head in his book instead.
