Definitely merit, I’m a huge believer in sink or swim but never cast aside if they sink in first year or two.Any merit to bringing them into the Cork seniors for the odd session here and there, purely from an experience/development pov? I'm not saying they're options but give them a taste of that environment. It's where their trajectory is leading too imo.
Considering their development will be stunted now for the summer by our own rules. Playing minor for the clubs and junior A/B won't cut it. There's still 6.5 months left in the year.
I feel our top u18s are at a big disadvantage to their IC rivals because of this rule.
They each have two more years U20. And next year they'll hopefully have a chance to play at higher levels with the Glen and Lisgoold / Imokilly.Lucky for the two of them that they have another year of development with the 20s hopefully under Furlong, otherwise their development could be stifled playing Junior a or b.
