Cork Minor Hurlers 2026

I didn't see the match, so I can't comment on the performance, but in terms of the scoreline Cork were hanging in there until the last five minutes or so when Tipp kicked on. Given that, it's worth bearing in mind that Cork played what would have been a very draining match in tough conditions last week. They now have two weeks off to reset before two more matches in the space of a week, both at home.

Clare beat Waterford 1-20 to 2-12, Waterford got a few scores at the end to make the scoreline more respectable. Clare up next for Cork, will be tough opposition.

Meanwhile, in Leinster...

First, they have a bizarre system in place this year. Two groups of three, each team plays each team from the *other* group, but they are ranked in a league table only against the teams from *their own* group. Top two teams from each group through to the semi-finals.

Some v odd results as well. Laois gave Galway a good game first day out, but were absolutely skittles by Wexford today. The Wexicans had lost their first match v Dublin, and the Dubs lost today to Westmeath, who had been easily beaten by KK. Galway edged past KK today. No idea what the standard is like compared to Munster.
