Win the All Ireland of course..Looks like we have another good minor team on our hands. Some serious players, not so important we win an all Ireland by push the likes of brosnan, Coffey, o Sullivan, Garde just to name a few up a level and give them the right conditioning to add to senior teams in the future.
I know these lads a very young but technically they are a good group so the right s&c and keeping them grounded is what we need to be doing as a county.
Be nice to win the All Ireland but ultimately as long as they are ultra competitive and have a few stand out players then that's more important.Win the All Ireland of course..

5 players. That's a big return from an underage panel.CORK: **Eoin Davis; Eoin Roche, Ciarán Nyhan, Ronan Sheehan; Cormac O’Brien, Conor O’Callaghan, Aaron Walsh Barry; Daire Connery, Seán Twomey; Brian Roche, Declan Hanlon, Tommy O’Connell; Blake Murphy, Joe Stack, Colin O’Brien. Subs: Ronan McCarthy for Cormac O’Brien (temp 23-30), Owen McCarthy for O’Connell (35), Shane Barrett for Murphy (53).
Thats the team that beat the Dubs in 2017 in the inaugural u17 final. A significant few are very relevant to the current panel.
Slightly better than the v talented minor team of that year: https://www.gaa.ie/hurling/news/galway-crowned-electric-ireland-all-ireland-minor-hurling-champions5 players. That's a big return from an underage panel.
The only thing about that older Minor Team in 2017 was how enthralling the journey was. It was the first bit of underage success (with success being winning a match) . The Evan Sheehan piledriver to draw the game v Tipp was unreal. And if we do win an All Ireland in the next number of years that team will have some right to be identified as the spark that lit the bonfire. Albeit that the number of players who made it through was low.Slightly better than the v talented minor team of that year: https://www.gaa.ie/hurling/news/galway-crowned-electric-ireland-all-ireland-minor-hurling-champions
Of the players who featured in the AI final that year, only the Roches, Milkerick and Rob Downey are in the current panel. A lot of others did play senior but never became regulars, and unfortunately injury curtailed the careers of some of the most promising members of that crop. (One of many reasons why speculating about which of this year's minors might make it at senior level is idle talk imo.)
I followed that 2017 U18 team all that year. I remember they were away to Tipp in the Munster Final in Thurles and we were saved by a Robert Downey brace of points to earn a draw at the very end. The replay was back in Páirc Uí Rinn in front of 9000 people and the atmosphere was electric. We were starved of underage success so this was the start of when the tide started to turn for Cork hurling again. The only thing about that older Minor Team in 2017 was how enthralling the journey was. I’d add the full back to that list too, he’s a real defender. But as you said, there’s no guarantees with minors as the 2017 team provedOn this year's minor team, they look very strong. The likes of Craig O' Sullivan, Callum Coffey, Cormac Deane, Eoghan O Shea, Michael Tadhg Brosnan and Colm Garde are highly rated and are hurling well. But as others have said, let them hurl away and see what happens. Some will make it, some might not. Other lads struggling to make this panel might be the forerunners in 3 years time. A lot can happen between 17 and 20. But at the same time, it is nice to see our Minors do well.
