Because like most small clubs they'd rather win a lower version than go for the bigger trophies. Am slightly surprised rebel og didn't force them up tbh.The ref let a few challenges go - Donoughmore would have felt hard done by had they not won.
Anyone know why Donoughmore didn’t go P1 this year when they won P2 last year?
Joe is U16. Enjoyable enough game. Thought Glanmire forwards inability to convert cost them the game. Had tons of possession but did nothing with it. B'collig more clinical with less of the ball.Big win for Collig. Saw the last 20.
Some possession stats from the Miskella brothers.
Is one of them u-16?
Luke O’Mahony any relation to Podsie?
Not true at all. Infairness to donoughmore they have a great team but I wouldn’t say a great squad. Only had u16s on their bench and struggle for bench players.Because like most small clubs they'd rather win a lower version than go for the bigger trophies. They were good enough to play P1 this year but I totally understand why they would want to stay P2. They'd be concerned that they could get whipped which would do the club no good in the long term. For smaller clubs who get a good crop every so often it's a real tough call about which grade to play. Not true at all. Daniel Holland and Scott Barrett immense for Donoughmore and will surely be looked at for the cork 20s, they were awesome.
Don’t be surprised to see Donoughmore down to the a divisional grade next year as sometimes in minor it’s just the way it works out.
