Potentially the worst minor team we’ve ever had, sadly. Hard to see how the management can go again next year after that.

Nobody sets out to get beaten so badly but there’s also very little excuse for it.

I have no doubt the 16 & 17 year olds in tears on the pitch afterwards needed reminding of this by some keyboard warrior.

Dublin lost by 2 points today, Cork lost by 17. Are you really trying to equate the two?

All management fault here . Players have to be a le to compete better at this grade not matter what talent we have . Shields getting in buddies from barrs as strength and conditioning not gonna work

I think they should think about going back to selecting a Cork minor squad from the whole of county cork, not just a west cork team.

I was at many of the Dublin trials. Problem was how many lads there were . And this meant not all got picked. Its bad in Cork in terms of talent ID I presume . In Dublin it is impossible.

Scale and logistics are definitely a problem in Cork.

In Cork, the rebel og development pathway starts at U13 where they select about 500 players to start with. Some don’t get selected until later years. By the time they play minor a player is usually in his 5th year at rebel og.

Sometimes , and this is one of those I suspect , you’re just outclassed by a superior force , yes there may be issues as these have been identified elsewhere but these can become magnified by a gulf in class , I have to say I feel for management and players alike , they’ve given 3 years to it , a lot of sacrifices involved with family etc and it must feel like a pretty empty feeling this morning… .

Yes we all feel for them but we must ask the question.
How come a county with 57 clubs can be so far ahead of a county with 259 clubs.?
There was such a gulf in class it's clear the fault lies in talent selection for a start.

Well it’s a big county yes , 259 clubs but you can disregard a fair chunk of that , all of East Cork more or less , ( bar Aghada ) all of the north side of the city ( bar Blake Murphy ) …oh and Glanmire
