Cork Metro

I think a connection to the airport should be included given the expected growth of the city over the next 15 to 20 years.
Should be reasonably straightforward as I don't think many residential houses would be affected if it ran along the existing airport road.
Dublin airport is a disaster with no rail connection to the city.
How would you suggest they get the Luas up to the airport ?
I mean technically speaking

7-5 is a weird one. They are talking about the need to service an ever growing population. Am going to assume there's big plans afoot to develop the green area between Bishopstown and Ballincollig.

Always thought the obvious route out of City would be along the Carrigrohane straight out to EMC.
They had to include CUH though, and yes the Model Farm Road is being filled in bit by bit. The only issue I have with it is that they're not going beyond Ballincollig West, when there are big estates out to Classis Lake and indeed Kilumney/Ovens will see big developments over the next decade.

If you look at the Dublin Luas, the Red Line is not too dissimilar

I’d agree, I know those companies provide transport for their workers. You’d think that should be their aim anyway, good point sir.

Indeed, have you noticed anything different with that tram that is pictured there and the Luas ?

Destinations? 😜

And the fact that it's not running off overhead electric cabling - have they diesel engines?

Not sure health and safety in Ireland would allow anyone stand on the edge of a platform like that either 🤪
