My daughter went to Bik's funeral and met dozens of volunteers who did serious jail time.Now have nothing...runners and jeans and dole.Men who fought the war.
Fucking disgrace.

I can name n shame Derry yes men who are well looked after

One with several large houses in Donegal,
Etc etc
I’ve friends n comrades who served serious time but didn’t even get the offer of counselling,
Lots have died of alcoholism, suicide,
Some homeless, some nut jobs,

The hunger strikes should never have happened. SF moving to political means was a good thing though. The GFA had overwhelming support North and South.

I would hope that Don came to realise the GFA was worth it. He did so much for young people and the peace process in the North has saved thousands of lives.
