Cork life centre

Poor Don looked a shell of his former self in that photo.

Glad that politicians recognised the hard selfless work he did, and that serving a prison sentence and paying your debt to society doesn't have to mark you as one who can't contribute to society subsequently.

Giant of a man and fair dues to whoever set up the Book of Condolence, Don O'Leary should have been made a Freeman of Cork imho in acknowledgement of, and thanks for, his great work
He looked after Michelle O Neills daughter when she was doing an educational effort at the life centre
Kid was incognito
All went smoothly thanks to Don

Don said he won't into Portlaoise jail not a member but came out a member.
Unless he swore on the Black Book he was not a member.
There is no evidence he did that..
What wing of the jail was he on .
The political wing ?
Now that he’s passed- I can say hand on heart he was a member of tbe provisional
since he was 16
Yrs obviously he was on tbe ra wing
Probably up to 160/ plus POWs in Portlaoise then

It appears from your post that he was a member. He himself told a different story.
In view of your genuine view it should be pointed out to those who organised the guard of honour by north mon boys school that Don's background might be different.
The boys need to told this.

Besides the sell out the big mansions on this side of the border,
Pubs, restaurants, hotels in Spain , states etc,
Jobs for the boys etc etc etc
SF at its core is rotten,
Working class Derry etc have nothing but disdain ref them
Many who served time in prison are now destitute while Adams and others live in luxury, I think 4 of the hunger strikers families despise SF
