There was a guard of honour for don o leary at the funeral. Pupils from the North Monastery formed the guard of honour.
Is this fitting .the Department of education have rules for absences from school.
I don't think this is one of them.
Anyone have more information on this.
 
I have tried to get information from the BOM their qualifications to be a board members of the school Peig. To no avail.
The kids are marched into town every Saturday to March in the Palestine jamboree.

Poor Don looked a shell of his former self in that photo.

Glad that politicians recognised the hard selfless work he did, and that serving a prison sentence and paying your debt to society doesn't have to mark you as one who can't contribute to society subsequently.

Giant of a man and fair dues to whoever set up the Book of Condolence, Don O'Leary should have been made a Freeman of Cork imho in acknowledgement of, and thanks for, his great work
