I remember being at the AI Hurling Final in 1984. I overheard two American tourists saying that hurling was the same as lacrosse. I was never a violent person but I was close to it that day.

Not the same, but there are similarities among all sports. Also worth noting that there have been compromised rules matches between the two sports and 5 of them ended in a draw!

You should have given their tickets to an actual hurling fan though...

That's the dream. Camogie too. I was hoping the GAA would send me over some thoroughbreds : )

There acutally is an Irish Lacrosse team. Our U20 men just won the euros and our U20 women just had a top 10 finish in the Worlds.

There is actually an All Ireland Lacrosse trophy from the 1800s if you can believe that
