Cork Hurlers - Part 2

Dalton had injuries to contend with during league and still gave a MoTm display when he got his chance.
He’s exceptionally good at long range frees whereas Hoggies conversion rate on them seems to be quite low. In tight games that’s a few crucial scores and keep the opposing team honest.

Richie Hogan on Off The Ball talks about all the shots taken last Saturday from outside the 21.
Hogans view is actually that “no shot taken outside the 21 should beat the keeper” and he was shocked at how many shots were taken.
I said here earlier in the week that very few of those at inter county level would be goals. I still can’t get my head round why Limerick took so many. Are they coming off the rails out on their feet after 8 years of savage going or was it a tactic put in by management with a view that Collins is a poor keeper or what, I dunno.

I was very critical of Mark Coleman but I was delighted to be proved wrong
I was also very happy with Damian Cahalane he brings huge physical strength to the back line and must be used more Eoin Downey conceded a huge score the last day and he should have been more aggressive Maybe he should switch with Damian There is no doubt he is a fantastic hurler but can be easily out muscled by bigger men
I loved the videos of the celebrations and the video in the pub were they told limerick go home I believe was a response to limerick supporters in the pub and was all just good GAA fun
I had a terrible seat down low in limerick the last day and I am delighted that we won’t have to go there again for a long time I also was happy with the penalties because we did not need another war with limerick before the All Ireland series
