Cork Hurlers - Part 2

Anyone hear what happened with Aidan Mccarthy and Clare management, must’ve been big bust up to walk off panel at this stage of the championship.
I had heard rumours of a physical altercation between himself and Lohan during training and that he walked off the panel after it.
Thought it was very far fetched so paid no notice of it ...............not so sure now though.

They always have a bit of a meltdown after winning an AI. Heard about McCarthy as well and one other.

Billy Morgan as manager once dropped a Cork footballer in a training game and lads got fucking on with it. Laughed it off and drove on.

Anyone who tells you league form is totally irrelevant can be pointed to Clare this year to be proven wrong. We were told Clare's relegation was unimportant. They would surely be a different animal in Munster. Sometimes league form is not relevant but often it is, especially in the extremes. Clare being relegated was an extreme. You could also point to Tipp and Waterford going well as an example of league relevance.

The steps being allowed is out of control. Noel McGrath's flubbed goal chance in the 8th minute today came after he took a minimum of 8 steps. Clear as day it was too many. It's a total farce when it goes blatantly uncalled. Just change the rule if you are going to ignore it. The crazy thing is no rule change would alter how bad a non call it was.

I said it was was serious about it.
I actually don’t care about any other team this year especially only us.
We have a good age profile as a panel and we play a bit different than any other team with 3 inside.
The writing was on the wall for Clare ( you are correct) with league form and they definitely are not right. That’s up to them to sort themselves out.
For me it’s about what we bring next week and not just relying on beating Waterford at home.
To put down a marker we need to winning games that are there to get at.
This is what what makes champions.
This starts next week with no excuses we have to put down a marker now and drive on .

I agree. All gas, no brakes. I think Cork are the best team in the country, but they have to prove it.
