A brother of mine went to almost every Ulster football final, the Munster hurling final and both All Irelands for 40 years. He always says Thurles on Munster final day is the home of hurling and Clones on Ulster final day is the home of football for him. I’ve gone a few times to Clones and it’s a spine tingling cultural experience standing on the hill surrounded by nationalists.

On reflection we really left the 2024 title behind us last year. Better team won on the day etc, but after beating the four in a row champions - twice - we really should have finished the job
