Theres a bit of delusion around here on cork in this area. Yes we have lads like hogan Mcinerney Duggan and those who might get stuck into winding lads up but we have plenty who wouldnt open their mouth same as cork

Unfortunately there are still loads of fellas on here who don’t get this, to win at this level with a host of teams at the same level needs absolute ruthlessness on both sides of the line, we didn’t see that from cork in particular yesterday, the whinging about hogan is fucking embarrassing, he does what he has to do to win and because of this he has won an absolute hat full of of medals
There are finally a couple of cork players who understand they but there are still a couple who don’t get it, at this stage after 20 fucking years anything goes, I don’t give a fuck how cork play its all about winning the fucking thing, fight, bite, dive, goad do it, listen to the former players in punditry they wouldn’t give a fuck, next time come play Clare if it’s this season and a cork player is hit he drops very

You are right in that Cahalane marked Duggan before at half back, was around that time 2017/18 Munster Final maybe and he did struggle in the air with Duggan. He probably should have been brought in yesterday but it’s not a given that he would have coped with him aerially.

Downey actually did well in the first half yesterday when he attacked the ball and got out in front of Duggan. The problem in the second half was he probably felt this was too risky and played him from behind which isn’t going to work with Duggan.

Duggan would have had his first goal in the first half only for a superb Patrick Collins save

Nobody is taking issue with the verbals. That is part of the game.
You are just deflecting here from the actual issue which is the physical fouling by Clare, non-stop, off the ball.

Yes it was Conlon but he was mostly getting ball to die for low in front of him, the balls reigning down on Duggan yesterday were 50/50 balls, except everyone knew Duggan was going to win them. You’re reluctance to acknowledge that worries me

Any player who is marking a fella who is considerably bigger and stronger than him is not getting a 50/50 ball if the delivery is good. You're right I'm not going to acknowledge that because it's just fucking physics.

The issue is that Clare backs had all day to deliver very good ball in on top of Peter because they were 6 v 4 at the other end of the field.

I don’t buy the narrative that Damien would have done better than ED yesterday . The management team are not naive , if it was as simple as Damien would have done better on Duggan I am sure he would have started ?
