Unfortunately I think both of the Roche’s are slightly below inter county standard They deserve another chance and I would be delighted to be proven wrong I would be more worried by Eoin Downey I feel he lacks urgency and the ability to sus out danger.He is a fantastic hurler Maybe he should be out with his brother in the half back line.

You may be correct about the Roches. This league will tell a lot about them.

Eoin Downey is 21 and already an All Star fullback. Who would you suggest replaces our All Star fullback?

Corner back is one of the most specialized positions on the pitch. You don't just chance a few guys there. The days of the corner back being there to pull hard are long gone.

Why are you going on about the subs? You bizarrely declared Shane was as good a ball winner as the starting fowards, that is clearly nonsense and now you are backtracking

I am not backtracking my point all along is that there may be spaces to start in forward line for a variety of reasons and the other subs have not done enough in big games to merit a start just yet . You don’t seem to disagree which is unusual as you disagree with almost everything anyone else says which in itself is bizarre

Bit dramatic there, no crisis. You've got Niall o'Leary, Sean O'Donoghue, Ger Mellerick has done very well in league, Eoin Roche did ok in his start as well. That's 4 for 2 spots , more than adequate

Just naming players that have played corner back at some stage does not mean they are good enough going forward for cork hurling

Eoin roche in the managements eyes wasn’t even good enough to make the 26 man panel last year, but you reckon now all of a sudden his a corner back option ?


How many goals did we give up last year from the corner back position be it someone dropping the ball from a 20 yard pass, tony kelly and the rest breezing in from the corners multiple times during a game and just simple mistakes.
