Cork Hurlers - Part 2

Bang on!
He's comparing club Saunderson to Intercounty Collins.
That can't change unless you give Saunderson chances.
If I recall Saunderson did get chances last year and you could see the nerves which is expected.
He got one game against Waterford, That's not chances.
Claiming Saunderson's distribution is better and more accurate based on what?
Club championship and u20 performances, Saunderson strikes them low and accurate.

He has burnt enough intercounty players at this stage in club championship to argue that point. Out before his man, takes a run with quarter turn and over the bar practically over his shoulder.
But ya if he has 15 intercounty hurlers around him will every touch have the precision remains unknown.
I think Sean has earned a look at in fairness, not sure if he would intimately make it but he’s definitely worth a look at. The success of his club last year has come against him though as he has had no time with the group

Not sure what you mean by that, Sars were a week later finishing their championship run and there are three from that club on the panel.

Collins is unpredictable at times and has a habit for saving the hard ones and letting in the soft ones, that’s not what’s needed in a keeper. He’s been saved distribution wise by the big long puck to Hayes which is very simple, let’s be honest.
Saunders is reliable and saves most of the easy ones and I think his distribution is far better and more accurate. He is overall more solid and I think with time could develop into a serious keeper.
But agree, either way our no.16 needs game time.
“Saving the hard ones and let in the easy ones”. Going back a few years, but that was said that about goalkeeper from 1950’s/1960’s Mick Cashman!!

I suggested look at him earlier but he disappointed in the club final.
However he could thrive with good players around him.
There are no proven ball winners at HF on the list. BR might do as could ROF. Darragh Flynn and Diarmaid Healy have not played IC.
Finding two HF is vital
