We had 7 tickets between us. Got them from 3 different sources, 1 GAA related. But that doesn’t make it right.Met a Cork family in the hotel saturday night before the final mother father and 4 young children all going to the match.

Incorrect. Allocation of tickets largely - but not exclusively - based on club hurling grading i.e. Snr, I’mediate, Jnr. Other factors like player(s) from the club on the panel also contributed to allocations. On the basis of grading only CnM got nowhere near the same number of tickets as Sars.Revamp needed alright. You had the likes of Cill Na Martra and Beal Átha getting the same allocation of tickets as Sarsfields. Totally ridiculous. If you had a hurley back there the locals would look at you strange. No regard for hurling in lots of areas but they all get hurling final tickets. At least the likes of Russell Rovers Dungourney etc field football teams.
Right now i'm of the mindset that i never want to step foot in Dublin ever again.Hopefully we have the problem again next year!
84 tickets for Sars. 24 of this allocated for having Pat, JOC and Colm involved. Without them that means 60 tickets would have been allocated for a club of 900 members. A 1 in 15 chance of winning if it was open draw.Incorrect. Allocation of tickets largely - but not exclusively - based on club hurling grading i.e. Snr, I’mediate, Jnr. BBAWs I say your maths slightly flawed there and I've said same to my friends in other clubs who made claims.84 tickets for Sars. 24 of this allocated for having Pat, JOC and Colm involved. Over half this tickets were raffled between Adult Players and Committee, the rest to the remaining members.
Should have got 20 for Jack, was it only 4 extra for Pat and Cathal being on extended panel84 tickets for Sars. 24 of this allocated for having Pat, JOC and Colm involved. how is it not fair to Cork. No, based on number of clubs. It wouldn’t reduce Clare’s allocation at all, take it from the other 32 counties. The system as it is now is not fair to Cork.
This isn’t about resources. It’s about giving Cork kids as good a chance of getting to a final as kids from Clare and Kilkenny.how is it not fair to Cork.
Its 100% the same for everyone.
The lack of awareness of this line of thinking is extraordinary.
You come from a county that is in the fortunate position of having the resources to win titles in both codes and you want to remove tickets from across the country going to places that haven't a hope of ever being in even a semi final.
Oh Jesus the Wokeratti are in now. Like Come on goi's this is Hurling Country..Lads the fucking snobbery is unreal. It’s a thread to discuss the cork hurlers.
Some people for various reasons aren’t involved in gaa clubs. The “wait til the premier league” kicks off crap is tiresome tbh.
Being a soccer fan doesn’t lessen a person’s support of our county hurling team.
