Cork Hurlers - Part 2

Cork shaded the crowd last week but only just. What I’m suggesting is that tickets are allocated to clubs rather than counties. Clare has less than 100 clubs whereas Cork has over 250.

I saw another poster make the point that a lot of the Clare crowd were families and that’s great to see. Unless you’re well connected in Cork or buy a season ticket for the whole family then you’ve no chance of bringing the family to the match. It won’t happen but the ticketing system disadvantages Cork more than any other county.

Good point Cranky but probably a waste of time on those that don’t understand at all the demographics.
I know 2 former Cork hurlers who couldn’t go because they have families. One lad a former dual minor said to me he knew early on he’d no hope of getting 5 tickets. If he was an ex Clare hurler he’d have a MPV full of tickets.
That’s just down to pure numbers.

Erra I dont know anyone who was looking for a ticket who didn't get one.

I have to laugh at the 'Im the bestest supporter' crew. No one is forcing anyone to go to games lads.

If by some miracle the Footballers reached a final ud have the exact same scramble for tickets. That's sport.

Lads the fucking snobbery is unreal. It’s a thread to discuss the cork hurlers.

Some people for various reasons aren’t involved in gaa clubs. The “wait til the premier league” kicks off crap is tiresome tbh.

Being a soccer fan doesn’t lessen a person’s support of our county hurling team.

This is the first year ever Ive come across proper genuine supporters that didn’t get tickets. It was families rather than individuals really.
No prob for families in Clare.. that’s just numbers

Season tickets or corporate connections probably but that's a rarity
