Good point Cranky but probably a waste of time on those that don’t understand at all the demographics.Cork shaded the crowd last week but only just. What I’m suggesting is that tickets are allocated to clubs rather than counties. Clare has less than 100 clubs whereas Cork has over 250.
I saw another poster make the point that a lot of the Clare crowd were families and that’s great to see. Unless you’re well connected in Cork or buy a season ticket for the whole family then you’ve no chance of bringing the family to the match. It won’t happen but the ticketing system disadvantages Cork more than any other county.
I know 2 former Cork hurlers who couldn’t go because they have families. One lad a former dual minor said to me he knew early on he’d no hope of getting 5 tickets. If he was an ex Clare hurler he’d have a MPV full of tickets.
That’s just down to pure numbers.
