Cork Hurlers - Part 2

It's been so long since 06 I can't remember (Covid in 21 doesn't count) but was there ever this many hats flags & headband sellers on Pana the eve of an AI?

First minute, Connolly or Hayes gets a fast ball and gets pulled down inside the 21 - does the ref have the balls to black card and award a spotter?

Well Murphy certainly got a lot of flak for a silly early card to Wexford against Clare

Outside view as a limerickman. We won against clare twice and lost against cork twice this year. In my opinion all those games could have gone either way. Were cork a better team both days v us ,yes I would say but 2 point margins in both games says you can be better and nearly get caught. What has impressed me about cork is their attitude under pressure and their decision making on the ball.
Clare are more prone I think to throughs or lulls in their intensity and that is where cork need to be at their most efficient. Ryan looks like he has a good handle on who can do what teamwise and that brings confidence into the group as a whole.
Big danger for cork and maybe it's one Limerick to my disappointment didn't try to expose more is when teams run at them and look for goals ,we didn't do it enough in sf in last 15 mins and it could have paid dividends . Clare with o donnell kelly and Rodgers will try to do that and if the cork backs come out on top in those battles I see cork winning it.
Finals are there for the winning ,sometimes a bit of luck can go your way or just sometimes everything does and it's happy days.
Hoping for a great sporting game ,very wet up here in wicklow and same in dublin but forecast for tomorrow is mainly dry. Best of luck to both teams ,friends in both camps of supporters so neutral ? on who I want to win.

Couldn't give a fuck how we're perceived. The game will be decided by the two sets of players inside the lines, not by whether or not someone that somebody bumped into in a shop in Blarney is cocky.

One of my favourite things about following Cork is for many we're the cartoon baddies of the GAA. Fuck the lot of them. We'll drink their tears or our own tomorrow but for sure we'll be back next year win lose or draw driving them all fucking mental again.
I wasn't talking bout how were perceived. I couldn't give a shit either. What I was talking about was whether people were savage over confident or not as I haven't been out much. There are a lot of people who all of a sudden are experts on hurling who havent seen a match all year. Wouldn't want a repeat of 82 or 85

It's so obvious they play this way. Really odd commentary for Jamesie. It may not be a full sweeper all the time but they do not play straight man to man. I hope they do, I'll take our chances.

True. But some clearly have a problem with us.
Michael Duignan.
Curiously, Joe Canning.
Insert any former KK hurler here.

In fairness to people like Anthony Daly, John Mullane, Liam Sheedy, they call it as they see it.

In commentators Marty. Cummins is ok. Dara Moloney doesn't know one end of a hurley from the other and Ger Canning tries his best to balance out the fact he's a CCRí boy at heart.
100 percent spot on . The Joe Canning anti Cork thing isn't a myth either. He always puts the boot in for some reason. Pity as he was a great player

Need advice here. Has anyone drove up the east coast to Dublin. Then parked up in Bray/Blacrock and darted it into Connolly. Prepaid for parking in red cow for the semi and that was full when we got there?early

I used live in Blackrock, there's a handy car park at the Dart Station, and you'd be at Connolly in less than 20 minutes. Booterstown also has a car park, not sure what the craic is with how long you can stay but might be OK on a Sunday.

Both very residential areas so loads of places to park within a few minutes walk of the stations
