I think a fresh face at u20 would make more sense. He will know the 2008s well but I hope that doesn’t lead to a disproportionate amount of that 2008 minor team automatically getting the nod. I hope he keeps his mind open to those 2007s and 2008s that have developed over the last 2 / 3 years. He needs to cast the net wide and have an open mind.

as i said a few posts back, i would agree and i hoped Sully would get the gig. I am not unhappy Fergal was appointed but he wouldnt have been my first choice

I seen him on Sunday in Douglas, he’s some size now, fair play to the lad for backing himself and making a living out of sport.

A lot of people won't like this, but I always feel it's a waste of talent for a skillful hurler to give up the game to go and play a sport like rugby that any half decent clogger could do well at.

As good a hurler as he was, what stood out about him was his physicality and athleticism.
Also, he obviously gets paid to play rugby.

i would agree as a generalisation but watching Ben since he was a young fella he was obsessed with pushing himself, always being better, and once Munster Rugby came calling it really was an opportunity he couldnt turn down but he was never put under pressure to stay with GAA and we wished him all the best once he made that choice

We have seen it all before with the likes of Denis Irwin, Brian Barry Murphy, Neal Horgan, Jonathan Holland and Ethan Varian amongst others so we respected Bens decision and hope he goes all the way

He was a huge loss to Cork and the Barrs

Anyone confirm Ben made a lackey out Cormac O Brien because Cormac and his family are on the other side of the Newtown fued? It seems to be Ben's modus operandi, not dropping a player off the panel but humiliating him in public, similar to Deccie i suppose.
