Great post. Not sure i entirely agree with your solution but id agree that I think the half forward and in particular the lack of a ball winning half forward is the crux of an awful lot of our issues.
Playing injured players in the middle 8 also a huge issue in the semi final, Patrick Collins puckouts can be erratic at crucial stages as well but for me a half forward line of Darragh Fitz, Shane Barrett and Duds Healy will no longer suffice going forward, they just do not win enough dirty ball or secure enough possession direct from our own puckout.
Would Alan Walsh do a job out here? Our maybe even (heaven forbid) Brian Hayes gets a run out here? Tim O Mahoney maybe?? Would the young lad Johnny Murphy from Dromina be worth a punt in a league game out on the wing?
Not saying any of these options are the answer but we have to start somewhere when looking to reshape that half forward line.
