Cork Hurlers - Part 2

I mentioned the penalty. It (and the second yellow) was a huge moment, but it is also worth bearing in mind that Cork had been thoroughly outplayed in that match since HT, in a way completely unlike anything last Sunday.
Stats wise the problem on Sunday for me is Cork achieved a level of accuracy that is unheard of and unlikely to be repeated. That should be a good sign but in a game which will not decide the destination of the McCarthy Cup I hope it doesn't deflect from what was ultimately a sub par performance relative to Limerick.

If we revert to form you are looking at a conversion rate of maybe 70%, therefore we need to improve by roughly 6/7 points if we meet them again.

That is very achievable, but I would hope management look at this as opposed to going by the score and thinking we only need to improve by a point or two.

Ultimately, I think the result of that game was pretty meaningless, a one point win for us wouldn't have changed the fact that, that level of performance won't be good enough should we meet again.

I saw JBM this morning. I didn’t go up to him firstly because I’m not 12 but also because I didn’t want to embarrass myself by getting into a conversation that’s way over my head.
ah jimmy is a gent, he would chat away with anyone, and he knows when to lower the conversational levels too 🤣

Could very well be!

I was wondering if Walsh might, he has a mighty belt, I don't think I've seen a better point than the one he landed from deep in our own half in the first U20 RR game v Clare
id be keeping the pressure off our younger fellas as much as possible

Mullins, Ethan and Ben Cunningham all playing in Glen v Barrs league match tonight.
Does anyone know what’s the story with Ben C, is he training away with Cork? I was hoping this would be the year we’d see more of him in red.

Scratching my head at people saying we're gone backwards.

Last year in Munster we played 5, won 2, drew 2 and lost one (a 16 point hammering)

This year in the teeth of an injury crisis we played 5, won 4, lost 1 (by a point).

If we get a bit of a fair wind with luck and injuries over the next 39 days then we'll win the All Ireland.
Less exciting I think but stronger defensively
