Cork Hurlers - Part 2

I missed the Munster Final last year.

I'd love for Cork to get to another Munster Final. Down the Pairc would be even better!

Munster Finals just still mean so much!
Agreed with this 100%. Obviously we were very disappointed with how last year finished, but personally I didn’t agree with some peoples attitude in the aftermath that seemed to dismis winning Munster earlier in the year as almost irrelevant. I know there’s a bigger prize, but it still means a lot.
One thing I admire about the current Limerick team is despite winning 5 all Irelands, they still celebrate winning Munster and treat it as seriously as every other county do.

You realize that Waterford scored a ton of goals in their first two games right? We gave up none and you are worried about giving up chances? We need to check our expectations sometimes.
I do realize that, thanks. But context matters here. Clare have well-known defensive issues which were exposed in the league final and in their games v Waterford and Limerick. Tipp collapsed for most of the second half v Waterford. In all likelihood one of Tipp or Clare will make it out of Munster, but they will have to improve massively to make a serious challenge for the AI.

Cork right now are in better form than Clare or Tipp, and as I acknowledged their defence has been steady so far, but they still gave up goal chances to a Waterford team that didn't hit the heights they reached v Tipp. That is a concern for a team with AI aspirations. More precisely, two of the chances were generated by Walsh besting Cahalane. Cahalane gets a sometimes ridiculous amount of criticism, but equally those mistakes would be punished by better forwards.

He often has minimal impact in the first half. He needs to loosen up and usually thunders into the game in the second half.

It was sad to see him come off. You'd wonder is that the end for him.
Hopefully not, but it looked serious. I don't think there has been any update from the camp on him since Sunday.

I was amazed to see that that he's only 30, I thought he was older tbh.
