I dont think the team will line out as is, Barrett will come out to centre forward, Tim will go as a 3rd midfielder or possibly mark Kyle Hayes, Barry Walsh will be going inside and will be nowhere near Kyle hayes, Alan Walsh will come out and roam between half forward/midfield for puckouts

I believe this makes sense but I would have also gone with Sean O'Donoghue to bolster the full-back line especially on the back of his performance last Sunday. We could still see the capabilities of Eoin Roche v Offaly.

That wouldn't be remotely comparable as a challenge for Roche. I've felt he's always been solid when tried in the league over the past few seasons, and was decent (without being outstanding) in Salthill. Tonight is a chance for him to really make a case for himself. Of course, he could really struggle as well, but if you're a player in his position I'd say you'd relish the opportunity.

That’s true Tony. On the other hand, if things go against them (and let’s be honest, if Limerick are looking to lay down a market, it might well) then any criticism needs to be measured. Cork have experimented heavily against what looks to be Limericks championship 15. We are a long way off our 15. That’s not being negative or looking for excuses before the game; that’s just reality.

Guy from Limerick who I work with reckons Gillane will be back on the frees this evening. Think it was mentioned on Sunday game last week that not taking them might be effecting his overall game. Certainly be interesting if they change back now, O'Connor has been excellent so far on them

His selection is very astute when you think about it. He’s getting rid of any complacency or lack of motivation for the match by picking lads who haven’t had many opportunities so far in the league as theyll be chomping at the bit to go out and prove themselves.

I think it’s a clever enough selection, a lof of opportunity for Tim to drop back to support midfield, w Tommy dropping back. Midfield could be the mother of all battles. Great options off the bench if needs be, talk about a bomb squad that could come on!
