Pat Ryan is an absolute gentleman but maybe not ruthless enough to win an All Ireland.
BOC is certainly ruthless and tough enough but then he is criticised for being the very thing we are hoping will bring success.

I think this gets overplayed too much. Pat Ryan is a gentleman with external dealings, media etc same as Cahill, Kiely . We might not agree with some of the decisions he made but inside the four walls of the dressing room he is ruthless and not nice when needed.

Ask Jack O Connor. Off the bench albeit briefly in semi. Did not make 26 for final . Thats ruthless enough . I would say Ethan Twomey might also agree. Not lining this up for a bashing of the 2 lads . Just illustrating Pat had the streak.
