Cork Hurlers - Part 2

Yep. I'm a Cork man living in Kilkenny. The lads I talked to were were cocksure they could beat a 'soft' Cork team. They seemed to be basing this on the Cork displays of the past 10 years and not the displays of Pat Ryan's team post Waterford last year. There was no convincing them. The same lads eulogising the displays of Huw Lawlor against Antrim, Dublin and Offaly.
All the talk before the semi final that Lawlor was in the running for HOTY, of course he's gonna look good in that joke of a Leinster Championship, that whole full back line was cleaned out against Tipp, and then the excuses started coming in, mainly from Tyrell, "oh Huw is getting dragged out of position, he likes to sit there and catch ball" haha really, tripe, its the full backs job to man the full back line and he was cleaned out. KK will struggle to get a single All Star again this year

The weakness of Kilkenny is exemplified by their bench - it has nothing to offer and considering they had players who were half fit and off form and nothing from the bench demonstrates how weak they really are.
Tipp are deservedly in the final and have a solid core of the team who have won a final, all depends on the head really, if cork are fullly focused and ready they should win

Huge weekend within the camp which will decide are the injured players fit to start or come off the bench. You’d feel for whoever misses out

We will have worked on our tactics all week and refining them this weekend.

The next week will be about sharpening the touch, getting the minds and bodies right nothing else

Like the semi final I expect us to be hopping off the ground come Sunday. Will it be enough? Only god knows the answer to that one

Be Brave! Believe!

Remember Lads Tipp are going into this with full confidence that they will win, dismissive of Cork because we're "over rated, "over hyped", "soft" and with a "streak of yellow" .
All actual, freely expressed quotes from Tipp fans.

Meanwhile here in PROC we have posters giving Tipp utmost respect and credit, and going as far as saying it’s a 50:50 game.

What have we become?! 🤣🤣🤣

I'm expecting Cork to be laser focused, confident, primed and ready to unleash 20 years of pent up frustration on the opposition.

And God help Tipp if I'm right.
