Just reading the Echo and they are saying that a Senior club will get 44 tickets (20 stand and 24 terrace). Intermediate and prem.junior gets 36 and Junior 28. This seems very little overall. So looking overall that your average club around the county gets about 35 tickets * 259 clubs thats just over 9,000. Not sure how many season ticket holders out there would it 8-10k? So less than 20,000 overall??
I won't get you started on the 'Influencers' who get gifted tickets JimmyHonestly I don’t care about clubs in other counties, especially those that are profiteering off of Corks hurling team by holding national draws for their ticket allocation.
That’s the antithesis of what the GAA community is about.
Yes but it’s per affiliation so most clubs will get 2 allocations of tickets. There isn’t 259 clubs getting tickets .
Roughly, there is about 150/ 160 clubs playing in adult competitions.
About 60 clubs first teams play at Senior, intermediate or Premier Junior grades. About 80-90 ish clubs their first play at Junior A/B
About 100 of 259 registered clubs are underage clubs, amalgamations etc. They get no tickets.
Clubs get allocated ticket separately for each code.
If I remember that year there was a few hundred tickets that the GAA just forgot I distribute. There was a massive empty block in one of the upper decks.I remember in 2005 we were a bit surprised at the lack of tickets v Galway. It ended up being around 50/50 inside in Croke Park whereas in 03 and 04 v Kk there were a lot of tickets around and we were in the vast majority given kk''s poor support. In 05 Galway called in all the favours from around the country. Around 9 of us went up and only 2 got tickets. I agree, the raffles are making it harder to call in tickets from other counties
Yeah some really good lower Cusack tickets too. They incorrectly labelled them football final tickets on an envelopeIf I remember that year there was a few hundred tickets that the GAA just forgot I distribute. There was a massive empty block in one of the upper decks.
There is a media allocation, always was.I won't get you started on the 'Influencers' who get gifted tickets Jimmy![]()
Read what I said again.. That’s exactly what I said in my post and in about 3/4 others this week. You call it per affiliation, I refer to it as per codeYes but it’s per affiliation so most clubs will get 2 allocations of tickets.
True. We’re all just dying to talk about the match for the next week or so and this is what we’ve been reduced toRead what I said again.. That’s exactly what I said in my post and in about 3/4 others this week. You call it per affiliation, I refer to it as per code
There is nothing new in any of this really.
We had a chat for a good hour plus last night about various driving routes for the final. 5 grown adults, all of whom know how to get from point a to point b still discussing the merits of driving in via Galway, or parachuting in or whatever!True.
