Cork Gigs 2026

I"m not a fan myself, but a friend showed me an Instagram post, so it looks like Wunderhorse are going to be playing Cork sometime this year. Savoy perhaps??
City Hall. 26th of August. Happy days.

I might head along to this. A young lad in for summer work experience suggested that I listen to them after he heard me playing Interpol in my office one Friday afternon.

He didn't know who Interpol were and I never heard of Wunderhorse.

Think the album was "Midas" - reminded me of The Editors with a Nick Cave lean on the vocals.

love these guys....

pôt-pot

announce new live dates including

5 March - Choice Music Prize Awards, Vicar Street, Dublin
21 May - Workman's Club, Dublin
22 May - Luca Records & Decks, Waterford
23 May - Kino, Cork

Wunderhorse sold out straight away this morning and looking forward to it. There is a market for Cork gigs of this size when they do get booked. Hopefully we get many more City Hall bookings and the Savoy will now step up also.

Still think the Opera House is underutilised. Quick skim through their listings and there must be 20 - 25 tribute acts booked in the next 12 months alone. People must be buying tickets for them but I'd have no interest myself.

On another note, Madra Salach were great in Cyprus Ave last night. Sold out. Be interested to see how they develop over the next year or so and hopefully will return.

I think that I have mixed up two records that the young fella told me about because I have "Midas" on at work now at it sounds more like Bush with a bit of Coldplay mixed in.

Good to hear, annoyed I missed them, tickets were very reasonable. Judging by how popular they are getting, we'll be paying more next time. They're a great band, so more power to them!

the amazing stunning city hall for the jazz festivall. i got two tickets, 87 euro for two standing...... a bit expensive i thought.
