Cork Gigs 2026

The Guilteens, Jean Pack & Therapy Horse are playing in The Savoy next month.

Therapy Horse are a very good live band that I have seen a few times, shoegazey indie - the other two I haven't heard much from/about but it's good to see three local bands pushing.

Taupe and Ten Past Seven playing The Savoy in June.

I don't know much about Taupe but the bog walrus boys from Kerry have always been worth seeing live.

Boole Sounds 2026:

Following the success of last year’s pilot concert series, I'm delighted to be teaming up once again with UCC Library for Boole Sounds 2026.

With campus quieter while students are away, we’re inviting everyone in for a programme of unique and engaging live acts - an opportunity to experience our space in a whole new way. We’re also delighted to have My Goodness on board, providing refreshments at each show.

What’s coming up:

Saturday, June 13 – Paddy Steer with guest Twitcher
Thursday, June 25 – The Quiet Club 20th Anniversary, featuring dance artist Sophie Hutchinson and percussionist Solamh Kelly
Thursday, July 23 – Rattling Ark with guest Niamh Dalton
Thursday, September 10 – Marisa Anderson with guest Dancing Bears
Wednesday, September 16 – Širom with guest Moundabout

All events are age-friendly and access-friendly.

Tickets for all shows are available via Eventbrite.

Saw Sprints two years ago in Coughlan's and they were excellent. Would like to see them again but I can't muster up a desire that strong for an 11.30pm door opening with a support band prior and two young kids to come home to who will certainly not give me a lie-in in the morning! Aware this is a Heineken promotion job but tis a mad stage time at (you would estimate) 12.30 to 1am ish. Will definitely affect the attendance.
