Cork gigs 2025

Thanks a mill for that, man. The gig was great. I saw Chimers in Kilkenny a fortnight ago at an afternoon show. It was wedged, so there were loads of doors open and a bit of sound bleed. Still really enjoyed it, but this setting was way better. Great band! Hubert Selby Jr. Infants were solid too. I really like this venue and the sound heads that go to these Tinnitus gigs, there's a good sorta community atmosphere built around them.

I had a great time at this too. Both bands really gave it a bash.

The sound is very good in that room (for the few gigs that I've been at there) - I always have my Loops in these days though so that might be a factor.

So, do we know if there's support for tonight @Cyprus Avenue I have a few friends who are travelling from up the country after work, they'll be against the clock.
Support by Dose.

I am going to head in for half 8ish and hope for the best!

Normally they'll tell you who the supports is but Cyprus Avenue rarely list stage-times themselves - they've posted about it here previously.

While I understand their reasoning that supports acts deserve to be seen - and I have seen some great supports bands over the years - people also have their own lives to lead around going to gigs. To borrow a Booker T Jones song title; "Time Is Tight".

Best bet is to look up the social media of the bands playing who (occasionally but not always) post set-times on the day of the show (usually the support band).

Just spotted that Ash are playing Cyprus Avenue in December.

Can confidently say that I haven't heard a single note of music that Ash released after the "Free All Angels" record but I still have a soft spot for that album and the debut record "1977" (which turns 30 next year - fucking hell).

Haven't seen them live in over 20 years (fucking hell - again) so I might go for a look.

Saw Ash at Forest Fest last year and at their own headline show overseas, quite different shows but both very enjoyable. Gotta give em credit for the energy! Old classics and some of the new stuff are genuine belters
