I've got a ticket for Chimers on Friday night, can't go anymore. Happy to pass on the ticket if someone wants to go. Don't want money, just want to support the band and hope they get a decent turnout.

Decent for the one event I've been to there before Gigs are in the upstairs room, got it's own small bar (not great), it's dark and fairly small, so good for an intense close up experience. Which is what you want for a gig like this.

saw ora cogan there a few weeks ago, mighty good gig

sound was surprisingly crisp, dunno who the sound guy was (think he was irish) but he did a really fine job I gots to say

I'll definitely take that off your hands! Great band, and the support act are good too. I like the venue - nice and dingy.

That Chimers show is going to be fucking lethal. They are a great band. 2 really excellent albums. Based in Australia but yer man is Irish.

The support band, Hubert Selby Junior Infants, are brilliant too. Their debut record is out this week. Bit of Kerbdog/Therapy?/Shellac mixed together.

The venue is grand - straight lines, good sound but there's no raised stage though, the bands play on the floor. Shitty, expensive beer (Beamish and a soft drink was nearly a tenner) but you can get over that. However there's a step halfway in to the room that, if you don't notice, could ruin your night/ankle.
