Cork gigs 2025

I'm surprised the City Hall didn't sell better, I think even long-time fans are tired of daytime TV John. Still, pretty deadly to see them in CA

It is scheduled the same weekend as the two Oasis gigs at Croker. That's going to kill off a nice few potential ticket sales and I'm one of them tbh.

Myself and my buddy are going to PiL. Got tickets as soon as it was announced from City Hall a while back - both hoping that Lydon doesn't go off on one.

He's doing a spoken word thing in the Opera House a month after the PiL gig. I won't be going to that though.

I wonder does the band's guarantee stay the same now that it's in Cyprus Avenue? I mean- it's half the capacity of City Hall according to FAYF above.

Was it busy?

I forgot about this gig and then got offered a very, very last minute ticket yesterday evening but couldn't make it.
Wasn't packed or anything. Good size crowd for me as I can't handle big crowds.

It was just Bernard and a Cello player. He played most of the songs of his I like - Not Alone, Stay, Yes.
Bought a vinyl off him afterwards.

I hear ya – I really can’t be dealing with him going off on one about Kneecap or Trump mid-set. I’ve seen PiL loads of times since 2009 and they’ve always delivered, so fingers crossed the music will be the focus. They'll have a nice few shows done before they get to us, so we'll probably know what to expect soon enough.

There’s a decent chunk of seats gone for the Opera House gig, but I’m not sure it’s enough to stop it from being pulled. Can’t see myself going to that one anyway. He did a Q&A at Rebellion in Blackpool a few years back and it was more miss than hit.

I've got a ticket for Chimers on Friday night, can't go anymore. Happy to pass on the ticket if someone wants to go. Don't want money, just want to support the band and hope they get a decent turnout.
