McDonnell & Paul Walsh do exactly what management want them to do pure athletes run work run if they score it's a bonus but are not expected to score. Most defences don't worry about them kicking for score but as against Mayo Paul delivered on the score board. If Paul could do that every week but he won't. Both Run hard at the defence and have Sherlock and Cronīn on the loop. Mark Cronin had a poor championship but he was the best left legged player around

Jones scored 3 points vs Meath/donegal/mayo and played every minute and yet seems to be immune from any sort of analysis from certain posters, imo outside Sherlock we don’t have a single top class forward with a possible exception being paul walsh who has at least contributed more on the score board recently, division 1 is going to be very challenging for this group
Didn't realise Jones return was so poor. Has anyone done a spreadsheet on scores and minutes played against Kerry, Meath, Donegal & Mayo?
After an excellent league, Jones fell off a cliff. Sherlock is a brilliant shooter but he's very markable at the same time, very one dimensional. That's why we need corbett to fulfill the potential we know he has.
We could be still here in 3 years waiting for Corbett tbh, the bottom line is we have a really really average inside line and in the modern game that’s a serious deficit, I don’t see anyone on the medium term to address that issue so I think we are stuck between 12 - 8 for a few years yet at least and division 1 will be a struggle
