Cork Footballers

Great to see Conor Daly rewarded for his virtuoso performace during the week. I have no doubt he will take the opportunity to prove himself. I'm sure the anti-Clon posters on here will be ready to hang him if he produces anything short of a MOTM performance! 🤣
Yerah if that happens the Clon "A team" of sports psychologists will wrap him up and give him a big hug, while using the patented Clon mindfulness App.

They'll play him that John Spillane Inchidony ad in his headphones while the Clon legal team has the website suspended from the Internet.

Conor Daly bagged 3-4 in Sigerson tonight. This guy is dynamite. It is looking increasingly likely that he will be a starter for the Cork seniors this year.

Personally I felt it would take him a year and that he would be the long term replacement for Hurley but on current form he could be one of the first names on the team sheet. Sherlock could end up questioning his decision to come back now he's competing with CD.
Daly got two goals one being a penalty, Olan Corcoran got the other goal and was fouled for the penalty that Daly scored. Fair play to Daly but give a bit of credit to Corcoran aswell

Luke Casey Aghabullogue on the bench is an interesting one, serious pedigree as a soccer player but every time I’ve seen him play with Aghabullogue he seems a bit naive as a footballer. Got caught on his heels a few times in the county final waiting for the ball. Don’t know if he’s up to inter county standard but worth a go i suppose.

He’s young may make it in time but not ready yet . Reckon Cunningham sheedy mc Sweeney Molloy and o Mahony best of the newcomers
Daly is the best of the newcomers bar none. He will play more for Cork senior in his career than the rest of those names combined.

No one need worry about building him up too much. He can carry it, let me assure you. He has been prepped for this by some of the best coaches in the country since he was an u12 with Clon and his incredible talent became abundantly obvious.

Not many of these fringe players putting their hand up today. Cashman probably the standout, kicked some lovely points but got caught a few times defensively. Dore & Daly were decent enough in patches too. Conditions brutal but the kickout was a major problem, don’t think Newman or Dungan will be threatening Martin or Doyle.
