Cork Footballers

Look at the game again.Midfield not as bad as you think. From Word go John Small roasted him.Im not for 1 minute saying we have outstanding midfielders I just think much better options around than lordan where as midfield is huge issue for us we just dont seem to have any 1 for there bar the usual suspects.
You mean Paddy Small who is a seasoned campaigner and more or less the finished product for Dublin, in other words Small is as good now as he will ever be whereas Neil Lordan is a developing player from Sigerson Cup football since 2023 and since has been in and out based on who is injured on a Division 2 team. When you refer to better options you are correct if Sean Meehan is fully fit which is seldom and if the management had gone with Darragh Cashman who is longer involved than Lordan and thirdly if Shanley, Walsh etc. are selected in the position but Shanley is often in the other corner-back slot. Regarding the mid-field it will be interesting observing Sean Walsh and his progress under the management but why was Shane Merritt left go when he came through the development process at Senior and Sigerson Cup? A player such as Doheny's Rhys Coakley hasn't been looked at either. It took an awful long time before Sean McDonnell was brought in and most folk have him selected as a starter again next year.

Ya I like Sean Meehan also where is his Best Postion no 3 or 6?

I'm not sure but based on Sean Brady and Tommy Walsh been the most recent players at 6 then Sean Meehan will not be selected there although that's where he started from U-20. Also it's unlikely Meehan will be at 3 when Daniel O'Mahony has been selected there for 4/5 years so it has to be corner or wing for Meehan if he stays injury free.

Powter gone, he owes nothing to cork football. He gave us absolute all for the cause during darkest time for cork football. I wish him all the best
Big loss injuries caught up with him last year. Always a warrior hopefully see him back someday
