The Munster final has become a non event nowadays. A Cork Kerry final is a brilliant tradition, needlessly eroded and it would pull 20k plus and be a significant cash injection to both counties and venues.

In fairness both Clare and Tipp appeared to be getting their football house in order and both got to Div 2 somewhere between 2015 and 2020.

It shouldn't have been maintained for so long but the fact remains if Cork had beaten Kerry more frequently they would have a much more compelling argument than "Tipp and Clare have gone back to being shite"

But we could have be drawn against Clare in a semifinal and Tipp or WaterfordLimerick drawn against Kerry no?

Isn’t that the luck of the draw though? If we drew Clare instead of Kerry in semifinal and beat them, then we would be in the semi final next year?

I think once you split the championship in 2 based on league positions, luck of the draw shouldn't come into it as much. Seeding for provincial should then also be based on league.
