Cork Footballers

I see John Hayes saying 3 of our top players will miss the Meath game...and David Buckley came off for MTU last night with a hamstring
I Pray its not another year of injurys.

Along with Rory Maguire probably starting I also forgot Kevin O'Donovan as a panelist and Eoin McSweeney also at least on the panel. Good to see Eanna Desmond is in and that's up around the 40 player mark so in personnel the squad shouldn't be weaker this year but the questions remain will the players involved for a few years kick on & progress and can the new players bring refreshment and improvement in the weak areas of kicking from distance and foot passing to make the team stronger and more proficient overall. Is the team also over reliant on Colm O'Callaghan as a fielder, I think we could do with 1 or 2 players solving an issue here too?

Leaving aside whether or not the new players introduced are good enough etc, what is very clear is it takes time to step up to this level of
Football and to hope that some of these players answer the huge questions marks in order of priority:
Forwards
Midfield
Goalkeeper

I don’t think we have started anyone outside Maguire and o’callaghan midfield for the last 3 years? Surely time to try someone like Rory Maguire at midfield

What problem do we have midfield? Are we not winning ball there?
