Cork Footballers

Looked regardless of the peno, the lads showed fight, balls and should have won it. Powter, Fahy and DOM were the best on show. The fowards does need to be looked looked at but we are 2 points off the All-Ireland Champions who we lost to 12 points last year.

Gough protects the big names. Clifford got a free in the 2nd half for nothing more than a tickle while our boys need to be flaked before he blew it.

Much maligned but thought he had a mighty game today. Won a nice few turnovers. Kicked one bad ball away from a quick free, other than that was very good.
Great heart. Great engine. Rory Deane likewise. They could both take the easy option and just retire from inter-county but instead they come back and they give of their all. It's such a pity that they are not forwards who score more regularly.

Disappointed with O'Callaghan midfield most of all, never looked to have an impact on the game. Maguire gave several hospital passes too, looks nervous on the ball and keen to shift it on whatever the cost. Mahonys performance was heartwarming.

Bit more composure, patience in possesion and work on getting shooters at the end of possesions we will be interesting.

Clifford's movement around 45 to get on end of moves is unbelievable, often uses ref as a screen or another Kerry player, learnings there for Hurley etc

another day another penalty, unlike last week I think this one is probably correct. Kerry not very convincing but may have won by 2 or 3 points anyway as they always had that in hand. Tyrone had a big bee in their bonnet with Gough last week so Canavan took the chance to go in with studs up!!
