We could (possibly) beat Louth, Clare or Meath. Nearly a 50/50 chance we could be drawn against one of those 3.

If Cork manage that, then we would be playing one of the 4 provincial final losers - probably Limerick, Kildare, Roscommon and Derry - I am assuming Kerry, Dublin, Galway & Donegal will will win their provinces.

Of the four possible losers, our only realistic chance would be against Limerick.

It would be some crack if we made the last 8. Then our luck would run out...
 
The best thing would be a draw against a Tyrone or Mayo and force the group to reach the level they hit for (most of) the Kerry game.

We'll be playing plenty Division 2/3 sides in the league for a few years, so if we can match ourselves against the best teams possible in championship we should take it.
