Cork Developments

I’ll think you’ll understand that not one penny is ever paid to contractors working on state contracts that they are not entitled to under that contract.
Don’t be fooled by the appalling spin that the entire nation has sucked up on the maternity hospital. Blame Bam.. some media spin doctors have done a good job.. I’m amazed that Bam haven’t sued..
In reality it’s the HSE and it’s professional team that have cost us taxpayers a Billion, not the builders.

Its like you were awarded the contract to build a house, and when you turn up to site the house is completely different in almost every aspect to what you were asked to build including adding in loads of high spec things like AC etc
I never knew they’d split up

Isn't it amazing actually how that Children's hospital news has literally gone silent ?

I wonder was there a deal done here about BAM and their never ending series of claims for extra works etc?

Not that we will ever find out anyway

Dear all,
RE: *Help Required for 50m Pool*

Cork City Council are currently in the final stages of planning for the development of the Cork Dock land area.

In consultation with the council planners they are open to including a 50mPool complex that supports high performance training.

See Page 54-55 of Appendix C, Volume 4 at the bottom of the page on this link. https://consult.corkcity.ie/en/cons...ion-no-2-cork-city-development-plan-2022-2028

To help them get traction with councillors and government, we need *as many people as possible* *to make a submission in support of the 50m pool project.* This makes it visible that the community want it.

A submission is a statement of your support for the concept, put into the councils submission portal or via email.

For example:

Name: Mary Murphy

Address : No 10, Pool Lane, Douglas, Cork

Organization/ Affiliate (as relevant):

Reference: Appendix C Volume 4

"I'm delighted to give my support to the creation of a 50m pool complex in Cork. It will be a wonderful asset to the City and to the significant benefit of Swimmers in xxxxxxx and the Munster region"

*Please log your submission* of support using this *online submission portal* http://consult.corkcity.ie

*or via email* Citydevplan@corkcity.ie *before 5pm today* Wednesday 28th May please

Every submission counts!

Many thanks for your support as we get one stroke closer to having a 50m in Cork.
😁

I can tell you that mass blanket submissions hold little to no weight in the planning process. Read up An Bord Pleanala files to get the statutory view of those.
Groups put huge amounts of ill directed emotion, time and energy into these letters. They actually work against them.
If someone is opposed to a development, write down their concerns/objections, research online their objections/concerns and they then may be able to quote local, regional and national policies to support their observation/objections.
Don’t fall for the group think.
