Like I'll give credit it's fairly okish in rush hour you move steadily due to all the merging but one crash/over height vehicle and the place is bedlam.

Lakeview to glanmire roundabout takes me 10 mins even in early morning traffic,

You are wrong, Traffic from the east heading to the city was chronic ,as people avoided the tunnel,

From N40 North to M8 no problem
From N40 North to N8 East, snarled due to traffic from the N25 East deciding to take the N8 to the City rather than the tunnel.
From N40 North to N25 East, no problem.
From N25 to N8 North no problem.
Traffic from N8 East to M8 North no problem.

As I said the M8 South to N40 was the issue, the traffic in that lane had to go into the left lane aka the traffic from N25 East to N40.

Therefore I am right, as when there was a roundabout there, every single movement in all directions would have been effected

It’s chaos coming from the east to the tunnel. How does a road “improvement” scheme actually make traffic worse on probably the busiest route in to it.

That is restricted to 2 lanes in either direction, the entire design of the Dunkettle Interchange is designed around and in all fairness compromised by that fact.

The whole point of the project was to prevent incidents like what happened this morning from impacting on all traffic approaching from all sides.
That has been achieved.

The whole point of the project was to prevent accidents like this morning and disregard the impact to people travelling from east?
Sorry but that is stupid and I have no doubt that was a brief never given to any road designer.

You never said anything about East I did just as I did in the first post you quoted.
