Cork City Sports

Enjoyable auld evening again.

I was late up due to a family thing so missed what sounded like crackers in the 100 hurdles and the womens 3000m

Jackson Sharpe lived up to the billing a tasty looking 7:45, real pity we couldn't have seen him and McEllhenny going at at. The Lituanian fella Bertasius? had a right cut off him in the last 150m Super run from Niall Murphy scalping Cormac Dalton. the lads were brave to go with the pace

Both 800s were great value too..Sophie O’Sullivan reminded us what a warrior she is She looked dead and buried at 600m great fight to nab third. 2 flat to win it wasn't so shabby.

Sean Dolan was a class apart in the 800m, 1:45:76 he needed some company for the MR of 1:45:25. Doyle looked good. His carriage looks funny. he's not an 800m but showd some wheels.

The mile was a bit of a disappointment. Super finish from Reina to pick the pocket of Fogg and Higgins. Fogg should be wiping the floor with these guys but we can hang on pace when the screws turned he was gone. Local.man Liam Lyons ran a stormer. not his first sub 4 but showed loads of bottle.

Becker did okay in the 200m. decent wind 1.6 wind maybe should have gone faster. showed a bit of a hitch at 160m or so. She has work to do

Sean Aigboboh ran a stormer in his 200m. Again nice wind for him but maybe getting a bit chilly bit the young fella could have won the race which is always a good thing.

Shot monsters were monster. 2x 20m fellas

Small crowd was not great. The weather was too good I suppose and they fucked up announcing prizes when they should have started the second last 200m. announcing lanes for the 200s would have been an idea too..

Overall great stuff despite it not being a vintage year. well done to any involved
