Cork city has gone to the dogs.

Myself my wife and kids were in cork yesterday and for the want of something to be doing we went in to Brown Thomas but we left pretty quick when I saw a jumper I kinda liked for 300 euro!!! But on going out the front door this woman approached me and begged for money she was in her 30s and told me she was desperate she had nothing to eat . You could tell drugs was a big problem for her .I gave her a few Bob.. As I walked down the street and looked back I know any money she got that day would be for drugs ..life's tough

I just got called a "faggot" by two young ones falling down Douglas Street in high heels and miniskirts, locked out of their minds at half 4 in the afternoon.

Literally walking down the street minding my own business and then I get "look at the state of ya ya faggot".

Doesn't bother me but imagine if I randomly called some girls slags?

to be fair you do look completely bent, EnnisY

I had the same situation on McCurtain street the other night, before I never would give money to people I felt had a dependency on drink/drugs however after talking to a former addict who used to live on the streets he told me they will get the money one way or another and will rob/scam people if needed so if you can it's best to give the few bob and let them off.

You probably are right crusty However if we had brought her to a shop nearby for a sandwich or something at least it may have been some use to her . I'd say cash in her hand is sadly spent on the wrong thing

Maybe if he got a jail sentence instead of a 4 yr suspended sentence for armed robbery of a PO this wouldn’t have happened. He actually did this while on a suspended sentence so why isn’t that 4 yrs bt taken into account as that should have been activated once he was arrested . Even yesterday’s sentence was back dated to when he went into custody. Just proves suspended sentences not worth a Fcuk .

No doubt that'll get sorted when Leopatra builds new prisons.
